Discount Foam is a family-owned business originally founded on May 1st, 1981. Initially started by his father, Jon now owns and runs the company with the same exceptional product knowledge and customer service that his father, Joe, did. We take pride in working in the foam industry and have over 50 years of cumulative experience. Our customers know when it comes to Discount Foam, expect top notch service, great prices, and unbeatable expertise!

Our priority is your satisfaction. When you visit our foam store, you are sure to find the right products backed with friendly and approachable customer service. Jon and Sean have excellent product knowledge. Help us better understand your needs and we can suggest the best product based on those needs and your budget.   • Jon (aka: The Foam GUru)

    Owner

    Jon is the most knowledgeable person you will ever meet when it comes to buying foam. When his dad opened the store in 1981, Jon started working there part-time. He’s been working at Discount Foam full-time since 1988.

    If you have a foam question, Jon is who you want to talk to. Jon is a people person and loves to talk about foam and life. If we are not busy (but hopefully we are) he can chat for hours and will probably offer you a cup of tea eventually. Jon has seen trends come and go and has more experience than most manufacturers.

    Jon loves travel and going to concerts and sporting events. Jon’s main focus is on experiences and travelling with his family.

    Jon loves music! Jon was a trivia master before the Internet made it easy for all to have the answers in seconds. He may still be able to answer faster than you can type.

  • Sean (AKA: The New guy)

    Manager

    Sean started working at Discount Foam in 1992, but he is still “The New Guy.”

    Sean gets the most enjoyment from custom creations and solving unique problems that foam can help with. Sean loves giving multiple options and explaining the benefits of them to help you make the best choice for you. We are all unique, and Sean is here to help you make the best choice for you.

    Sean is a part-time stay at home dad and sports nut who loves camping. He can have a deep conversation about hockey, football, basketball, baseball, football (soccer) and rugby. He can also explain the rules of cricket (although most people who want to know, already know). Sean also coaches his son’s baseball team.

  • My girlfriend and I are just back home to Vancouver, from 55 days of travel across the length and breadth of the North American continent. For the majority of this time, we slept in the back of our Dodge Durango, on a bed of foam supplied by Discount Foam. Both the service and product we received from Discount Foam were of phenomenal quality. Sleeping in our car turned out to be something we looked forward to each day, it was that comfortable! A massive thank you from the two of us, to everyone on the team at Discount Foam, for helping to make our once-in-a-lifetime trip a reality. If you're looking for foam for any purpose, these are your go-to.

  • This place is awesome! I needed a small piece of foam for a baby bassinet & travelled down from Yukon. I had previously gone to a different foam store & was told I couldn't purchase a piece from him. Discount foam has many years of experience & showed me the difference between two chunks of foam, selling me a cheaper one. I was very grateful for his knowledge. I will be taking my foam back to the Yukon to make a cover for the bassinet. Thank You so much. I will be back!

  • I went searching for some thick yet inexpensive foam to make wooden upholstered benches for my kitchen nook. Discount foam had a huge variety of thicknesses all at very reasonable prices (possibly my cheapest DIY project). The store will cut it for you at the dimensions you request. My bench has lasted for a year so far and is plush yet firm to sit on.

  • You will not find a more congenial and accommodating owner than Jon at Discount Foam. Not only that, Jon knows foam! Just as important, his customer service & integrity is beyond reproach and I promise that you won’t find more reasonable prices for quality products. Believe me, before finding this store, I paid a lot more elsewhere for foam products. Jon helped me a great deal and this visit I purchased a sofa bed mattress. I will always return here. Jon’s attitude is ‘I try to be the best I can be’, and it really shows.

  • I found Jon and Discount Foam about 5 years ago when I was looking for a lower lumbar support pillow and was horrified by the prices I saw in orthopedic stores and other top foam shops. They carry A LOT of types of foam, and they're stacked up to the ceiling in parts. Mattresses, pillows, camping foamies ~ this place is one-stop foam shopping for everyone! Jon is VERY friendly, and very knowledgeable about foam, explaining the different types, and densities I was asking about. I recently went back for a support foam mattress. Jon brought out 3, getting me to lie on a wooden bed in the show area, and try them out for personal preference. I needed an odd size he did not have in stock, so he custom cut me the size I needed on the spot. This mattress again was 30% less than the competition and I could not have asked for more friendly, and knowledgeable service. I cannot recommend Discount Foam highly enough, the best prices and best service anywhere!

  • I got my brand new latex foam mattress and nice wooden bed frame delivered today and I couldn't be happier. Jon and Sean were both so awesome! Answering all the questions I could think of and helping me make a really informed purchase. (they know ALOT about foam and are both super friendly!) I also found the price to be more affordable than at other places selling latex foam mattresses. Jon (the owner) was right on time for the delivery, the setup of the bed was swift, and the whole experience chatting with him was great. :) I have now been lying on my new bed for a few hours and it feels wonderful! I should have switched to a foam mattress years ago! I recommend Discount Foam to anyone looking for a new mattress (or people looking for any kind of foam for their foam needs)

  • I believe any place that has exceptional customer service deserves 5 stars!! I bought a new tool box and wanted to get a cheaper alternative foam to the expensive insert you could have bought with the tool box, so I researched and found this place. I came in and the gentleman who helped me was super friendly and funny. Listened to what I was doing and even gave me some great advice to what I was doing. In the end, I left a happy customer and got exactly what I needed. Now I have a really sweet tool box!! Thank you!

    • very friendly and kind

    • superior knowledge of foam products and foam industry -- will offer many options depending on your needs

    • great problem-solving for tricky projects

    • treats every customer with respect and patience, making sure they have all the pros and cons of the options, even for very modest sums (my small but complicated request was under $30!). I saw several customers treated equally well. 

    • very very reasonable price

    • if you have precise measurements, and the foam product you want is in stock, you may be able to get your foam custom-cut while you wait.

    • owner Jon goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied (I understand from other reviews that his long-time associate Sean is equally knowledgeable and customer-oriented).
